September in Eureka Springs

August 28th, 2010 by Sam Feldman

The dog days of August are almost over (and boy, did they definitely have us “panting” from the heat!) and September is coming in just a few days. Fall is almost here and that’s one of the best times to visit Eureka Springs, AR! A lot of exciting things happen in September, so mark your calendars and give us a call here at the Bridgeford House for a room – we’d love to have you!

September 10-11:  40th Annual Eureka Springs Antique Auto Festival. There are hundreds of vintage classics in town, competing for prizes and trophies. This is our favorite car festival and there’s always a car parade on Saturday afternoon, which goes right past our front porch. Beautiful cars, Model T’s, Model A’s, classic muscle cars – and some of the best paint jobs you’ll ever see!

September 11:  The 1922 Bank Robbery Re-enactment. Right after the antique auto parade is the re-enactment of the first time in history an automobile was used as a getaway vehicle in a bank robbery – but did they get away??

September 10-11:  Wood Carvers Jamboree. Show hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Pine Mountain Village.

September 17-19: Citywide Sidewalk Sale. Bargains all over town and special prizes just for shopping! Eureka’s already a great place to shop and now this?!! Be still my beating heart!

September 24-26: 5th Annual Adventure Into Art Eureka Springs Artists Studio Tour. Artists studios open to the public. This is a free self-guided tour. For tour maps & artist info, see their website.

September 30-October 3: 20th Annual Corvette Weekend – more gorgeous cars!

And don’t forget October is not far behind, with gorgeous weather, changing fall color and more fun things to do. The fireplaces will be lit…

Warmest regards,

Jeff and Nadara (Sam) Feldman – and Sophie, too!
